Our Story

Swahili Breeze is the vision of Brenda Omondi. Born and raised in Nairobi, she moved to the USA in pursuit of the American Dream.

As a child, Brenda fell in love with the art, music and brightly colored jewelry and clothing of her culture. In high school, she danced to the beats of the "Kalapapla" and "Ishikuti" drums, decked out in brightly colored sisal dance skirts, beads and body paint.

From numerous trips exploring other cultures, from Cuba to Nairobi, Brenda turned her passion for accessories into Swahili Breeze.
